Hello and welcome to the first Content Designer blog post. Over time I hope this blog will become a useful resource for you to learn to create your own beautiful visual content. For social media, for marketing, for your blog or simply because you enjoy the process of being creative.
Have you ever wondered how people create those gorgeous Instagram feeds and beautiful photos?
I’ve really enjoyed teaching the Instagram strategy and marketing masterclass workshops with Social Brighton this year. But one problem I keep hearing is:
I’m not a photographer or designer. How do I create the perfect photo? And I just don’t have the time or the budget to hire people to create my content.
There’s a real gap for practical advice on basic photography and styling so I’ve decided to plug that gap! And that’s why I’ve created this website The Content Designer.
A Practical Instagram Workshop
The first resource is this new creative Instagram workshop, in Brighton on Saturday 22nd September, 11amto 2pm.
In this practical workshop, you’ll learn how to use basic design principles, colour and photography to create beautiful visual content. Photos that will engage your followers, wow your fans and sell your products.
Held at The Lollipop Shoppe, a fabulous beachside setting by the Brighton i360.
Who is it For?
This Instagram workshop is for creative entrepreneurs, artists, makers, crafters, solopreneurs and people wanting to use the power of Instagram to showcase products, ideas and creativity.
The workshop will give you a useful toolset alongside a foundation in design and photography, enabling you to make beautiful content that stands out on the competitive Instagram platform.
What You’ll Learn
How to create a cohesive feed
Photography techniques using your smartphone
The power of styling a simple flat-lay to tell your story
Useful apps, from planning to editing
How to use and find relevant hashtags
The importance of community and captions
By the end of this Instagram workshop, you’ll know how to apply design principles to set up and style a scene, using your products, props or creations.
Importantly, you’ll go away with lots of tips and advice on best practices when using Instagram, to help increase your engagement and following.
